v0.9 May 2026

Taste Learning Visibility & iOS Fixes

Snapmeal has always learned from your history — now you can see it happening. We've also fixed iOS onboarding display and swipe navigation.

  • Learning indicator — When history exists, the loading screen shows "🧠 Learning your preferences..." instead of the generic message
  • Personalization badge — Meals optimized from your past history show a "🧠 Tailored to your taste" badge
  • Smarter reason text — The "why this dish?" explanation now references your history (e.g. variety from recent meals, liked genres)
  • iOS onboarding fix — The "Next" button now fits on screen without scrolling on all iPhone sizes
  • iOS swipe loop — Swiping right on the last meal now loops back to the first suggestion

In-result Genre Switch & Stability

Changed your mind after seeing the suggestion? Switch cuisine style on the spot — no need to re-scan. Also improved analysis timeout handling.

  • Genre switch from results — Tap a cuisine chip (Japanese, Western, Chinese, etc.) to re-suggest with the same fridge contents
  • Analysis timeout — Auto-timeout at 90 seconds with a retry prompt instead of hanging indefinitely
  • Post-selection login nudge — Positive "save your history" prompt after a meal is picked, instead of limit-based prompts only

  • Priority ingredients in all alternatives — Specified ingredients are used across all 3 suggestions, not just the first
  • Better English meal suggestions — Western, Mediterranean, and global recipes prioritized over Japanese defaults
  • Updated English pantry staples — Replaced Japanese-specific condiments with commonly available Western equivalents

  • Optional selection — Leave everything unselected to suggest from all ingredients as usual
  • Cuisine style selector — Choose Japanese, Western, Chinese, Korean, Ethnic, or One-plate before generating
